pictureZhao ZHANG (ZZ) received his B.S. degree from School of Electronic Engineering at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications in 2011; and his Ph.D degree in Microelectronics in 2016 from Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is now working as post doctoral at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His research focuses on the design of analog and mixed signal circuits (including clock generators, frequency synthesizers and CDRs) for optical and millimeter wave hybrid systems.

 

pictureXiangyu MENG (XYM) received his B.S. degree from Tsinghua University in 2011 majoring in microelectronics; and his Ph.D degree in Microelectronics in 2017 from Tsinghua University. He is now working as a post doctor fellow at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His research focus on the millimeter-wave transceivers’ design (including wide band front-ends, high speed modulators, clock generators and wide band antennas).

 

pictureDuona LUO (DLUO) received his B.S. degree from Dept. of Electronic Science and Technology at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2012. Now he is in the PhD program in HKUST concentrating on nanotechnology. His current research mainly focuses on high-speed wireline and optical communication.

 

Khawaja Qasim Maqbool (KQM) received his B.S degree in Electronic Engineering from GIK Institute, Pakistan in 2008 and his MSc degree in Computer Science from University of Leicester, U.K. in 2010 both with distinction. He is currently pursing his PhD degree in ECE at HKUST. His research focuses on EMI issues in high-speed SERDES I/O drivers.

 

Guang ZHU (GZ) received his B.S. and M.S. degree both from Dept. of Electronic Science and Technology, University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2011 and 2014 respectively. Now he is pursuing his Ph.D degree at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology focusing on high-speed wireline and optical communication integrated circuits design.

 

Milad Kalantari Mahmoudabadi (MKM) received his M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Sharif University, Iran. Now he is pursuing his dual Ph.D degree at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Sharif University focusing on automotive radar transciever at 77 GHz.

 

Can WANG (CW) received his BEng degree from CQUPT in Microelectronics in 2016. He was with State Key Lab of ASIC and System(Fudan University) in 2016. He is now pursuing MPhil degree in ECE at HKUST with research focus on high-speed wireline and optical communication integrated circuits design.

 

Visible Light Communication(VLC) team

Xianbo LI (XBL) received his B.S. degree from Dept. of Microelectronics, Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) in 2010; and his M.S. degree from South China University of Technology (SCUT) in 2013. He is pursing his PhD degree at HKUST. His current research field is Visible Light Communication (VLC), especially the system integration.

 

Babar Hussain (BH) received his bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology Taxila, Pakistan in 2012. He received his MPhil degree in ECE from HKUST in 2015. Currently he is doing his research in the area of Visible Light Communication.

 

Li WANG (LW) received his bachelor's degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2016 majoring in microelectronics. He's now pursuing his PhD degree in ECE of HKUST with research focus on visible laser light communication.

 

Kanghui ZHAO (KHZ) will obtain her bachelor’s degree from Nankai University in July 2017 majoring in microelectronics. And then, she will pursue her PhD degree in ECE at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Her researches will focus on Visible Light Communication.

 

Liusheng SUN (LS) received his B.S. degree from Dept. of Electronic Engineering at Zhejiang University in 2015. He is pursing his MPhil degree at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with researches focus on Visible Light Communication.

pictureMaster Yoda After serving as a member of the Jedi High Council in the last centuries of the Galactic Republic and reigned as Grand Master of the Jedi Order, Yoda got tired of wars in the cruel world and started training young Jedis in Yue's group with his wisdom of inductor and high speed circuit design. In addition to the supervision in Yue's group, Yoda also guides young students in HKUST with his seminar series : Part 1-Iphone 5 Autopsy.
